Quick Question

So the new animated background stuff is coming along, but I have reached a problem where someone might have a better solution than me. Given a point, how would you determine if it was in the blue section?
I have one way figured out, but it’s kind of lengthy and someone might know a slicker way to do it. So any ideas would be great.

How are you drawing the above shape? That would help me come up with a way to determine if a point is inside it.
